    The following chronology of events occurring in 1846 through 1912 was put together under the auspices of the Statehood Centennial Steering Committee, chaired by Jodi Delaney, New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs, and its History Subcommittee, chaired by Rick Hendricks, State Historian.  The primary authors were Rick Hendricks, Dennis Trujillo, Assistant State Historian, and Michael Stevenson, President of the Historical Society of New Mexico, with review and input from other members of the History Subcommittee and other historians around the state.
