Historical Society of New Mexico - Grants Program
   

    The Historical Society of New Mexico awards grants that advance the preservation and study of New Mexico’s history through projects involving historic preservation, research and publication, public programs, exhibits, or other means of developing and disseminating historical information. The maximum grant is $500. Recipients must be members in good standing of the Historical Society of New Mexico (individual membership for individual grants, organizational membership for an institutional grant).

    Grants are awarded based on an annual cycle. The deadline for application for 2011 awards is May 31, 2011, for projects to occur between August 1, 2011 and July 31, 2012; though a later completion date is permissible. Grant awards are made at the discretion of the Board of Directors of the Historical Society of New Mexico. The Society is able to support approximately 3-5 projects each year.

Review of applications will begin after the May 31 application due date.
